The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed about the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of sassa infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company level here designed for intervention ordeals sassa status check a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and raise use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
